The Peter Cook Foundation was set up by Peter's widow, Lin, with support from friends. It aims to be a living memorial to Peter by improving the lives of young adults with learning difficulties.
One of society's most overlooked groups are adolescents who suffer from brain damage, or what is now termed a learning disability. Some children are born with a disability. Some are born perfectly fit and healthy and then suffer damage in infancy. And, in some instances, brain damage is the consequence of later illness or an accident.
